VJs DZ & Pete-G Papiersaal, Zürich Tickets at the door from 9 pm Minimum age: 18 80s Forever - the 80s party for seasoned fans Since 2007, 80s Forever has brought nostalgic sights and sounds with pop, New Wave, New Romantic, rock and Neue Deutsche Welle. After starting out at Härterei and BBQ, moving to Flamingo and spending some time as a travelling disco, 80s Forever found a home in January 2010 at the beautiful Papiersaal in Sihlcity. It soon proved to be a real stroke of luck. Around 500 people who love to dance take to the 80s dance floor there on the first Saturday of every month. Not the same old hits Musically, 80s Forever offers a refreshing change from other 80s parties. While others keep playing the same singalong anthems, DJs Pete G, DZ and P\@man go a step further: alongside the classics, they play many almost-forgotten tracks and songs that are rarely or never played, ready to be heard for the first time or again. You can also dance to songs by well-known artists that you rarely get to hear elsewhere. After all, in the 80s A-ha had more in their repertoire than "Take On Me", Madonna more than "Like a Prayer" and Prince more than "Kiss". Every song with its video clip The way the songs are presented is unusual too. Every song is played with its video clip, image and sound included. And of course, it is shown on the big screen, so you can really feel part of it and see all the beautiful and terrible sides of the 80s up close. DJ Pete G has painstakingly collected over 2,500 video clips, some of which he has re-synchronised and re-edited. This turns the music of the 80s into a visual and audio treat. Who comes to party? Who comes to 80s Forever? Everyone who loves the sound of the 80s and is also open to hearing rare or never-played gems. The average age is around 30 to 50. Most of the guests experienced the 80s themselves and look forward every month to travelling back to that time through music for an evening. Many guests also come from the generation that just missed that decade and are now keen to catch up on the great music of the time.
