Fortunately, this project failed and "Séance" became an album about artificial intelligence, not one made with it. The title hints at this: for Gropper, communicating with ChatGPT, Claude and the like has a lot in common with summoning spirits. As a result, the album is quite ghostly. "Séance is my Gothic album," he explains. Twenty years after founding Get Well Soon, Konstantin Gropper is as inspired and powerful as ever: perceptive, inventive, an artist still just as hungry for ideas as he is for answers.
