The magazine's latest issue will be celebrated alongside a double concert by 24 KIARA and AKO AMO. "High on the Sound" is a Lucerne-based music magazine focused on young, emerging female musicians in the Swiss indie music scene. The magazine aims to create an interregional music scene in Switzerland and connect bands and music lovers. The printed edition of the magazine will be available at the magazine launch at Südpol. **About 24 KIARA** 24 KIARA is an infectious mix of electronic music, pop and indie rock. Picture synthetic melodies that stay in your head and make you dance, sparkling disco arpeggios and powerful beats. After releasing their first EP, "Hodophilia", in 2023, the trio turns things up a notch and flirts with rougher garage rock sounds while always keeping a confident pop touch. **About Ako Amo** The Switzerland-based duo Ako Amo, consisting of Martin Reck / electronics and Olivia Zaugg / piano, began in 2022 as an ambitious live interpretation of the piece Uoon I by Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto. To achieve this, the duo developed its own electronic instruments to synthesise the sounds of the piece in real time. Over the following two years, this laid the foundation for their own performative-compositional practice and aesthetic, with a distinctive sound. The debut album is a playful, idiosyncratic and warm continuation of this original inspiration. Early digital electronics, evocative piano sounds, piano processing and sensitive sound design make up the Ako Amo sound. Ako Amo is a long-term project that brings together Olivia Zaugg's classical piano practice and Martin Reck's background in electroacoustics with a curiosity for the new and accessible.
