After more than 20 years, the unique German crossover indie/new wave/rock/punk/metal band led by Sir Hannes Smith (The Idiots) is back on stage with its 10th album, After Dark. In the nineties, the band toured extensively with Iggy Pop, Stranglers, Sisters Of Mercy, Sex Pistols, Cypress Hill and Prodigy. The new album was recorded and mixed at Soundlodge Studio in Rhauderfehn by and with Jörg Uken (Anvil, Suicidal Angel, Rumbel Militia, Weckörhead, Tempel Of Dread, among others). It was produced jointly by Sir Hannes and Jörg Uken. Phantoms of Future were an exceptional German rock band, founded in Dortmund in 1986. The original line-up included Sir Hannes Smith (vocals), Dörfel (bass), Harald Uri (drums) and Dirk "Dr. Krid" Schwarzer (guitar). Their debut tape, released in 1987, sold 500 copies and won the "Prinz-Ruhrgebiets-Wettbewerb". In 1990, Paul "Eysenhauer" Schrewe took over on bass and Olaf Bolte joined as drummer. The band's first vinyl album and first CD, Cruel Times, were produced that year. After scoring major successes with Loco Poco in 1991, Chapter 3 - the 1993 Trance Album and This Flight Tonight in 1993, they signed with Sony Music in 1995 and worked with producer Siggi Bemm on the albums Call of the Wild (1995) and Chimera (1996). Notable singles included "Sun", "Crackin' Up" and "Caught by Fire". Don't miss this musical document of the nineties and today. \------------------------ Hanter Dro from Lucerne/Sursee, est. 2015 The musically restless Sursee-based Roman Krasniqi began his musical career as a guitarist and singer with the grunge band Napkins in the late nineties. He then achieved international success as a guitarist with the instrumental band Tunica Tartos, which took him as far as Chicago. There, together with Steve Albini at his Electrical studios, he brought his musical vision to life for Sound Buffet's debut album. Albini played with his own bands Shellac and Big Black and gave albums by Nirvana and the Pixies their sound. Roman has been touring as the drummer for Hanter Dro since 2015. The Fischer brothers are also part of the band, with Tim on vocals and Jerry on guitar, as well as Dominik Weingartener on bass. The musicians and the band are a popular live act in the Lucerne and Sursee area. Hanter Dro is!!! Intensity, deep emotions and a palpable melancholy have always been the foundation of Hanter Dro. Rooted in post-hardcore and alternative rock, the Lucerne band's sound is entering a new chapter after a period of change. Following the release of their album "Death by Algorithm" in early 2020 the band is back today feeling freer and bolder.
