Anniversary party with the original DJ line-up: Coost Lardy Cake & MissVergnügen Live: Nostalgican | ear defLast year’s “Birthday Bash” was all about “50 Years of MissVergnügen”; today, we’re celebrating 20 years of MissVergnügen’s Wednesday! At Eschschloraque! Since 2006, she has been filling the middle of the week at the artists’ club with select guest DJs and concerts. In short: “Two decades of pure eclecticism – the hottest underground shit, the wildest, most beautiful and strangest live acts in the world – combined with the best cocktails in town and the most original atmosphere! It all started as Vendetta Sound System together with Coost Lardy Cake, who is returning for the occasion – to the couch at Eschschloraque. Hopefully, weather permitting, she will be standing outside in the courtyard so we can drink Cuba Libre under the open sky. As always, the musical fare will be a journey through time, both in terms of the delicacies from the DJs’ suitcases and the live treats.” Nostalgican is also inviting you on a trip through music history: “We play nostalgic hits from the 20th century – from traditional jazz of the 1920s to captivating arrangements of retro classics, featuring a singing saw (Michael Quattlebaum), a guitar (Marian Theumer) and a whole range of percussion instruments (Patrick Flanagan). So hop on your penny-farthing and join us on our clack-clacking journey through the ages, to a simpler era that may never have truly existed.” From an era that may never have truly existed, through two decades of genuinely eclectic DJ culture, to Wednesday at Eschschloraque – which definitely does exist – this anniversary will become a real trip, with pleasure. And we wouldn’t want to miss it! Free entry DJs from 9 pm, showtime from 10 pm
