60 Jahre Landwasser

This year, the Landwasser district of Freiburg is celebrating its 60th anniversary!

In addition to a colourful programme throughout the year, the district festival will take place on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The festivities begin at 10:00 with an interfaith service at the Platz der Begegnung, ending at 11:00 with a cheerful, colourful human chain.

This will be followed by a varied stage programme featuring local clubs and organisations. Taking part are the Bulgarian dance group, various dance performances by the Albert-Schweitzer Schulen, Sportgemeinschaft Landwasser Kids and a painting auction in aid of AK Kunst Land Wasser. There will also be music throughout the day and towards the end (20:00) by Kammerorchester Landwasser, Chöre der Albert-Schweitzer Schulen, Musikschule Prima Musik, Skyline Big Band Landwasser, Head Hunter and Cold Cause. Those who prefer a quieter atmosphere can head to Horizonte am Moosweiher at 17:00, where Essamble Con Anima will perform.

From 14:00 to 18:00, the schoolyard of Alber-Schweizer-Schule II and the adjacent sports field will host a varied children’s programme organised by the Landwasser Kindergärten, SKB ASS1, HdB and the Sportquartieren, Step Stiftung and Kickmobile. International food stands will cater for visitors’ appetites. From 13:00 to 16:00, the volunteer team from Quartiersarbeit will serve coffee and cake. We look forward to seeing you.
