Upcoming Saturday at Bar Tausend, Mr. Turner and T-Bone come together for a Tausend Disco night built on records, edits, groove and long-standing dancefloor experience.T-Bone, also known as Mondi, is a Cologne-based vinyl selector and DJ active since 1993. A resident at Suderman & Spirits and a regular at KitKat’s Disco Bizarre parties, he comes from one of Germany’s foundational reggae and dancehall soundsystem cultures with Wadada The Original Outlaw Sound — but his range moves far beyond that: house, UK garage, 2-step, disco, boogie, funk, soul and “big people music” with warmth and pressure.Mr. Turner, aka Petko Turner of Basspatrol Records, brings decades of DJ experience, edits, remixes and production work to the booth. Known as a deejay, audio editor, remixer and ghost producer, he connects disco, funk, house and leftfield club music with a deep edit culture and a sharp sense for the floor.Two selectors, two deep record histories — one night of groove-heavy disco energy.
