House Köln: parties tonight and this weekend

House in Köln sounds different depending on the venue. Small floors play deep grooves, rooftop bars go for warm, soulful sets and the clubs with a main floor stick to classic four-on-the-floor. Partynado currently lists 38 upcoming house parties. The scene typically gets going later in the evening and pulls a mixed crowd that values groove and atmosphere over sheer volume. Most of the programme is weekend resident nights and guest-DJ series.
