Düğünümüz var! - A night between Gazino, theatre, music, dance & glamour

Frankfurt, get ready: House of Namus is bringing its GAZINO NIGHT to the Internationales Theater Frankfurt for the first time.

Inspired by the legendary Gazino culture of the 1960s to the 1990s, the evening takes us on a nostalgic journey across several generations - from the great stages and Assolists of past decades to the present day.

Zeki Müren, Bülent Ersoy, Emel Sayın, Sezen Aksu, Tarkan, Fatih Ürek, Nükhet Duru and many others shaped generations with their songs, looks and grand moments on stage. Many of us grew up with this music - at home, at weddings, family celebrations, on long car journeys or somewhere between two worlds.

GAZINO NIGHT brings these memories along - but makes something of its own out of them.

At House of Namus, the Gazino is not simply recreated. We bring its music, glamour and grand gestures to the stage alongside our own stories, experiences and fantasies.

And this time, the occasion is:

Düğünümüz var - we have a wedding!

But who is marrying whom?

Who falls in love?

Who might break up before the vows?

And will this wedding even end the way it began?

For now, that remains our secret.

A story full of surprises unfolds between theatre and Gazino, with live singing, an Assolist, Drag Queens, Belly Dance, Zenne, dance performances, music, games and interactive moments with the audience.

We will sit together at the tables, talk, laugh, celebrate, eat meze and drink Rakı or whatever you like - and eventually, hopefully, no one will be able to stay in their seat anyway.

Turkish, German and English can mix freely throughout the evening. You do not need to understand every word. Music, dance, humour, emotions and celebrating together speak their own language.

And Halloween?

While ghosts and monsters might be out and about on 31 October, we would rather bring the divas out of the wardrobe.

There is no dress code. But if you feel like it, take inspiration from Yeşilçam, old Gazino divas and Assolist looks: sequins, glitter, jewellery, glamour - or simply dress as if you were going to the most beautiful wedding of the year.

We are bringing the wedding to you.

For four years, House of Namus has been creating queer, migrant and international stage and club formats spanning music, performance, drag, dance and community. Previous GAZINO NIGHT editions in Berlin, Cologne and Dortmund sold out.

Now the next story is coming to Frankfurt.

Come with your friends, your family, your date - or simply on your own.

For one night, House of Namus transforms the Internationales Theater Frankfurt into our very own GAZINO.

Inspired by the legendary Gazino culture of the 1960s-90s, we travel through decades of music, memories and fabulous stage culture - from the era of Zeki Müren, Bülent Ersoy, Emel Sayın, Sezen Aksu, Tarkan, Fatih Ürek and Nükhet Duru to the stories we carry with us today.

But this is not a museum of nostalgia.

This is our Gazino.

We take the glamour, music and memories we grew up with and mix them with theatre, queer performance, humour and a little fantasy.

And this time...

Düğünümüz var - we have a wedding!

Who is getting married?
Who meets whom?
Will someone fall in love?
Will someone change their mind before saying "yes"?

We're not telling you yet.

Throughout the night, a story will unfold around our tables and across the stage - somewhere between a wedding, a Gazino show and a theatrical fever dream.

Expect live singing and our Assolist, Drag Queens, Belly Dance, Zenne, dance performances, music, games, audience moments and plenty of surprises.

Sit with us. Eat some meze. Order your Rakı or your favourite drink. Talk, laugh, gossip, sing along - and eventually get up and dance with us.

The evening moves naturally between Turkish, German and English, but understanding every word is not required. Music, movement, humour and celebration have never needed translation.

And yes... it's October 31.

While everyone else is dressing up as something scary, we are dressing up as something fabulous.

There is no dress code, but if you feel inspired: think Yeşilçam glamour, Gazino divas, Assolist fantasy, sequins, jewellery, glitter - or simply dress as if someone you love is getting married.

Because really, why wait for an actual wedding invitation to dress up, gather around a table and dance all night?
