Denim vest, leopard print, mullet: an evening for the clothes at the very back of your wardrobe!
BAD TASTE PARTY │German rock, Neue Deutsche Welle and a bad-taste electro mix: the five musicians mainly play German hits from the 80s, along with songs from the 90s and 2000s. Guitars, bass, accordion and drums accompany the two-hour show, where singing along is part of the programme. The medleys also feature English rock classics. There is also a DJ set with those favourite songs people would rather deny knowing in public, yet recognise from the very first beat.
A free welcome drink for anyone who turns up in a Bad Taste party outfit 🙂

From 19:00: Bad Taste Party with DJ Pippistrello
21:00: Die Unglaubliche Manta Gang live
After the live show until midnight: DJ Pippistrello
Die Unglaubliche Manta Gang tells the story of Manni, Mücke, Matze, Mike D and Momo: five car enthusiasts from Lüdenscheid in the Sauerland, a close-knit crew since their youth. Tuning meets, rural discos and festival tents are part of their world. Their tuned Opel Mantas are their pride and joy. Add cold beer and football, and you have a modest collection of great passions that sets the scene for their performance.
Musically, their influences include Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte, Nena and Spider Murphy Gang. Markus, Wolfgang Petry, Peter Schilling and Torfrock are among their heroes too. The focus is on the 80s, but their repertoire stretches into the 2000s. The five have their own explanation for why most of their songs have German lyrics: English is not really their thing.

They make an exception for the medleys. Alongside Neue Deutsche Welle hits, they also feature English rock classics from the 70s to the 90s. The "Manta Mega Mix" brings in a bad-taste electro mix too. The line-up includes an accordion as well as electric and acoustic guitars, bass and drums. Manni takes the lead vocals, while Mücke, Matze and Momo provide backing vocals. The show runs for two hours and the audience is welcome to sing along.
The band first performed in Switzerland in February 2022. Since then, they have played at venues including Wiler Boxenstopp. Under the title "Krasse Weihnachten", they performed two sold-out shows. Denim vests, headbands and leopard print are part of the look of the five car enthusiasts in Die Unglaubliche Manta Gang. Anyone looking for wardrobe inspiration for the Bad Taste Party will find plenty in the band's photos.
DJ Pippistrello provides the musical fashion crimes: hits people claim never to have heard but sing along to with surprising accuracy. Good taste is off duty, while the dance floor is on duty.
