For Batbait, DIY is not a style, but a lived reality. The four musicians uncompromisingly develop their own musical language, free from conventions: distortion, waves of reverb and clicky rhythms weave together into a complex, multi-layered sonic experience. Radical and independent. Music, lyrical content, visual art and aesthetics form a complete body of work in which self-determination and independence are at the centre. Batbait show how rock music can be not only loud and angry, but also reflective, joyful and sensitive at the same time.
