Hello, we are Blood Red Shoes, a duo consisting of Laura-Mary Carter (guitar and vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums and vocals). For more than two decades now, the two of us have been making music together, recording albums, touring the world and building our own little universe – for ourselves and for everyone who wants to join us. We like to call ourselves a rock band, because that means almost nothing and we find it funny – partly also because we are, in fact, definitely a rock band.

In 2026, we are releasing our first new music in four years, written, produced and mixed entirely by us – something we’re pretty proud of. We’re heading out on our first major tour since our 20th anniversary shows in 2024. We’ll be touring the UK and the EU, with a set full of songs from all our albums and plenty of new music. The shows will be as loud as the laws of your country allow.
