Right in the heart of Chreis Cheib, the new monthly Poetry Slam brings together some of the most exciting and successful voices in the German-language slam scene: seasoned stage poets, fresh new names, big stories and punchlines that hit the mark.

Stand-up meets storytelling, poetry meets punchlines, keen observation meets carefully crafted chaos.

The stage is set for an evening full of wordplay, surprises and plenty of energy.

In the end, there's only one question: who will claim the Chreis Cheib?

Line-up:

Daniel Wagner - Heidelberg, D

Three-time state Poetry Slam champion and two-time runner-up in the German-language championships. Born in Basel, he has lived in Heidelberg since 2005 and has been a mainstay of the German-language slam scene for many years, with puns, dark humour, satire and plenty of nonsense.

Samira Parichani - Biel

Performing her own texts on Poetry Slam stages since 2022, the Biel native moves between spoken word and stand-up, depth and humour, and sharp observations of everyday life. In 2025, she reached the final of the Swiss Poetry Slam Championships.

Jeremy Chavez - Zürich

Swiss U20 Poetry Slam champion in 2019, he has performed on stages across the German-speaking world for several years. Together with Mia Ackermann, he makes up the slam team "Jeremia Gotthelf", which came second at the Swiss championships in 2022 and 2024. Chavez is also active as a host and in supporting emerging talent.

Johannes Floehr - Hamburg, D

Author, comedian and slam poet with plenty of experience performing on stages across the German-speaking world. In 2022, he won the Hamburg Comedy Cup, including the audience award, in 2014, he received the Heinrich Heine Institute's Young Literature Prize. His specialities: absurd punchlines, wordplay and delightfully high-quality nonsense.

Gina Walter - Baselbiet

Swiss U20 Poetry Slam champion in 2017, she has been performing on slam stages across the German-speaking world since 2015. The poet from Baselbiet represented Switzerland in the semi-finals of the German-language championships in Zürich in 2018 and Vienna in 2022. She is now also active as a host and workshop leader.
