HEROES & ANTHEMS: 10 YEARS OF DARTAGNAN
On 13 November, Z7 will once again be filled with full-throttle folk-rock power featuring capes, rapiers, gun smoke & thunderous rumbling. The musketeer rockers dArtagnan are celebrating the first decade of their fantastic career with the “Heroes & Anthems – Anniversary Tour 2026”. The evening will be opened by the folk-metal pirates Storm Seeker and the folk-punk veterans Doppelbock.
The three friends Ben Metzner, Tim Bernhard and Gustavo Strauss from Nuremberg, better known as dArtagnan, confidently describe their atmospheric folk-rock pop sound as musketeer rock. What does it sound like? “Many of our songs are closely intertwined with traditional songs and melodies that were echoing through the streets hundreds of years ago. And yet our music still fits perfectly into the present day.” Since 2015, dArtagnan have won their way into the hearts of listeners with their hits, stormed the charts and earned numerous accolades. On their upcoming tour, the musicians will look back over their career so far. “Friends, companions, musketeers. It is hard to believe: for ten years, we have travelled the country with our songs. An entire decade full of adventures, unforgettable concerts, sweat, tears – and above all: an endless amount of friendship. In 2026, our first gold-certified album ‘Seit an Seit’ will celebrate its tenth anniversary, and we want to celebrate this milestone with you twice over. Following the fantastic response to our ‘Heldenfest’ in Wuppertal, we spontaneously decided to embark on a whole anniversary tour. In 13 selected locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we want to raise a glass with you to everything that was, everything that is and everything that is still to come.” The greatest musical moments from a decade of dArtagnan will be celebrated, along with life and the love of music. And of course, dArtagnan also have a few new surprises in store to make these evenings truly special. “This is our thank-you to you: the loyal friends who have accompanied us for years and without whom none of this would ever have been possible. So raise your glasses, warm up your voices and sharpen your swords: heroines and heroes, sing the anthems with us – and celebrate ten years of dArtagnan with us on the ‘Heroes & Anthems’ tour.”
Storm Seeker: Anyone who signs on with Storm Seeker must fear neither death nor the klabautermann. Either you withstand the irresistible current of multipart harmonies, hard guitar riffs and enchanting hurdy-gurdy and flute melodies – or it will mercilessly wash you overboard. Life between hammocks and rum barrels on the lower decks is simply as unpredictable and rough as it is free and full of adventure. And that makes it tailor-made for Sean Graham. With his equally powerful and emotional voice, the frontman charts the course of the five-member Nautic Force: “Anyone with even the slightest affection for sailors’ tales, adventures and the stories of the rugged North can look forward to everything our shared future has in store,” promises the new singer. Set the sails, is the command! “Set The Sails” is also the title of the first single recorded by the new singer. The song sets the stage for stories as old as seafaring itself: of setting out, adventure and hardship. The beginning of a journey that demands heroism and promises freedom.
Doppelbock: The five musicians of Doppelbock from Gelnhausen in Hesse inhabit a world somewhere between folk-punk, mopeds and the poetry of local pubs. Although many of their songs come with a generous dose of self-irony, they also repeatedly turn to more serious subjects. The group skilfully bridges classic punk songs and folk ballads with subtle social criticism, without their music ever straying too far in either direction. Following their 2021 debut “So schön” and the release of several singles, they made a strong follow-up in summer 2025 with “Zu jung für Nostalgie”. Whether at a club show or a festival, Doppelbock bring plenty of atmosphere to their live concerts; they have already shared the stage with bands such as Doro, Versengold, Schandmaul, Paddyhats, Warkings, Kärbholz, Oomph and many more.
