DEVOURING DEATH (16+)

Three facets of death metal, one uncompromising assault

Südpol becomes the epicentre of extreme metal: under the banner of DEVOURING DEATH, the Clash of Gods cultural association invites you to an evening bringing three distinct and uncompromising styles of death metal together on one stage.

From the raw power of the analogue primordial age and French wrecking-ball grooves to modern melodic death metal of international calibre, this evening offers no respite.

VOICE OF RUIN (VD)

Melodic Death / Groove Metal

For over 15 years and with more than 250 shows worldwide, the band from French-speaking Switzerland has been one of the leading names in the Swiss extreme music scene. Whether alongside Cannibal Corpse and Sepultura or on Europe's major festival stages, Voice of Ruin deliver a powerful blend of melodic death, driving grooves and dark intensity. With fresh material in tow, they will tear up the Main Stage as headliners.

DEATHAWAITS (FR)

Death Metal / Slam / Hardcore

DeathAwaits travel straight from Lyon to swing their French wrecking ball. With more than two decades of stage experience, appearances at festivals such as Deathfeast and a sound that fuses raw death metal with razor-sharp hardcore and slam grooves, the quartet brings pure mosh pit energy to Kriens. Fans of bands like Misery Index and Malevolence will get their money's worth.

VORAX (ZH)

Primeval Old School Death Metal

Opening the night are VORAX from Zurich, and they take no prisoners. Formed by underground veterans from the circles of Messiah, Omophagia and Death Kommander, they celebrate bone-dry old school death metal in the spirit of Bolt Thrower and Asphyx. Primeval themes, thundering mid-tempo grooves and an uncompromising DIY attitude guarantee a perfect start to the destruction.
