Die ultimative 90er Party!

Hand on heart: what was your soundtrack in the 1990s? That decade had so much to offer and whatever you listened to, some anthems stay in your memory forever. We remember Coolio, who was as cool as his name suggests, and stepped into his "Gangsta's Paradise". There was screaming when the boy bands came on stage, such as the Backstreet Boys. Then of course there was Britney Spears, who called out "Baby One More Time". And who still remembers the breakneck flow in Scatman John's voice? We tried to copy these songs at karaoke with friends and always embarrassed ourselves because the lyrics just wouldn't quite roll off the tongue and the dance beats always seemed a little too fast (or slow?).

We first listened to these sounds on good old cassettes (which, by the way, are enjoying a bit of a revival right now). Then came the CDs and the Discman. They also brought their share of annoying moments. What was it like again in the days before MP3s and streaming, when a CD skipped? Especially when you'd once again left it in the sun or scratched it by leaving it lying around.

But never mind! Soon another shiny disc joined the collection, inspired by stories in good old "BRAVO" (which star cut-out did you have at home?). Also typical of the 1990s: those long GZSZ evenings.

All these memories come flooding back when the 90s party is on at X-TRA and cassette after cassette of hits from back then is played. And that's a good thing, because reminiscing is a lovely thing to do. BTW: Feel free to bring along the gadgets from back then too, including tinted sunglasses.

So put down your Game Boy and come on a trip back in time with your friends. We're delighted to present: The ultimate 90s party!

During events at X-TRA, the organisers regularly take photographs or make video recordings. These are used for documentation, post-event coverage and the promotion of upcoming events, for example on the X-TRA or organiser's website, in photo galleries and on social networks.

We assume that by attending events at X-TRA, our guests agree that images showing them at the event may be used for these purposes without any entitlement to compensation.

If someone does not agree to the publication of an image in which they can be recognised, they can get in touch at [email protected]. If X-TRA was the organiser, the image will be removed immediately. For events organised by third parties at X-TRA, we will forward any such complaints to the relevant organisers.
