Atropa, the third album by E-L-R, was created during a period of profound transformation and illness, exploring survival, endurance and irreversible change. Moving between doomgaze, post-metal and something more difficult to name, the Swiss duo creates a sound that drifts between heaviness and dissolution, beauty and poison. The songs traverse grief, delirium, limerence and resilience, lingering in the liminal ground where longing, loss and transformation become indistinguishable.
