Erich Fischer Trio

CD release concert with the ERICH FISCHER TRIO & GUESTS
"Jazz is the freedom to have many forms." This quote by Duke Ellington is practically the Erich Fischer Trio's motto. The bandleader draws inspiration from the stylistically diverse and varied world of jazz, and is also not afraid to let influences from Latin American and African music flow into his compositions.
Imaginative themes, sometimes sparse as a duo, sometimes drawing on the full range, and exciting solos, sometimes quiet and calm, sometimes bubbling with ecstasy, are what it's all about.
The musical form surprises with its variable line-ups, always with the soft sound of the vibraphone at the
centre, a double bass that is not afraid to take over the melody and drums that offer much more than just the rhythmic foundation.
The two guests on saxophone and double bass significantly enrich the sound of the Erich Fischer Trio.
The new CD "Joey's Delight" features 12 new compositions by the bandleader, written in 2024 and 2025.
The result is compelling energy, fresh musical playfulness and the passion with which the Erich Fischer Trio and its guests win over their audience.
