Flowers For Alberto & John What Henry

Double concert

When reggae meets soul, ska flirts with jazz and the groove takes charge, Flowers for Alberto are never far away. The band moves between styles with plenty of musical flair and finesse, creating a sound all of its own. Sometimes relaxed and soulful, sometimes driving and full of energy - as long as it grooves! With irresistible rhythms, surprising twists and a generous dose of passion. Alberto beams, bouquet in hand.

John What Henry kick off the evening. They too draw generously on elements of reggae and soul. The quartet from Nidwalden was just in the studio, recording a few tracks on magnetic tape. These, along with a handful of other songs, will now take to the stage at the Schüür. Two bands and two approaches to groove show just how varied a double concert can be, even when the underlying style is actually the same. In keeping with the saying: All roads lead to Ro... uh Babyolon.
