Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus, Manic Pixxies

Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus are visiting Hütte with a new album. With Mindsuckers (March 2026), their fourth album already, they are undoubtedly among Switzerland's most consistent and prolific musical minds - without ever compromising on quality. On the contrary, they remain faithful to the sound they established from the very beginning with every new record, without ever sounding boring or old-fashioned. Anyone who listens their way through the many singles, EPs and albums will repeatedly be reminded of Black Angels, Wooden Shjips or Moon Duo. Their energetic sound is defined by sophisticated songwriting and a great blend of garage, surf, krautrock and psych: intricately interwoven, fast and repetitive beats, a driving and tireless bass, harmonious organ chords, an insistent guitar devoted to the wah-wah effect and vocals that are always slightly distorted take us on a trip into an electrifying parallel universe. Completing this double bill are the considerably younger, but no less promising, Manic Pixxies from Zurich. After an EP and four singles, they released their first album, I know my headphones really well (Humus Records), in June 2026 and are already being hailed as a hidden gem. Always in motion, with multi-layered songwriting and an authentic production, their music is a joy to listen to and leaves you wanting more. In their lyrics, Manic Pixxies mercilessly point to the injustices that unfortunately still prevail, colouring their sound with an inescapable sense of urgency. Songs such as Blue Carpet, Virgin Records and Pissing outside the bandroom bear witness to an original and unconventional, above all fresh and raw approach that the increasingly blurred world of music sorely needs. Anyone who wants to hear them for themselves should definitely come to Hütte for this Swiss double bill!
