With Micah Shemaiah, one of the most important voices of the new generation of roots reggae singers from Jamaica comes to Zurich. On Thursday, 27 August, he will perform live for the first time at the Limmat Sessions. At the beginning of his musical career, Micah Shemaiah promised to deliver great sound and strong spiritual vibes. He has fulfilled that promise and continues to bring powerful lyrics in roots reggae to the world.

Shemaiah was born in Kingston City, the cradle of reggae, and grew up as a member of the “Twelve Tribes of Israel”. His performances connect people around the world and give everyone a ride “on the wings of Jah's music”. On his journey to promote and preserve the music he loves and the sounds he creates, Shemaiah has released a new wave of vinyl records. His first vinyl release was “Dread at the Control“. Since then, he has been a champion of black gold. He has stayed true to his path and released a series of eagerly awaited and well-received vinyl singles and albums. These include the singles “Reggae Rockit” and “Eezy Breezy”, the solo album “Original Dread” and the collaboration album “Shalalak”, as well as “Roots I Vision”, which he produced and released with the Swiss band 18th Parallel and the Geneva label Evidence Music.
