TAWB Festival: Blind Buther & WolfWolf

THERE ARE WORSE BANDS FESTIVAL 2026

Blind Butcher
Super disco-trash kraut from Lucerne
2025 is the year Blind Butcher finally go up in flames, true to their own motto: "We don't leave this place till it is on fire." With "Hekate", their fifth studio album (released in September 2025 on Voodoo Rhythm Records), the two musicians from Lucerne ignite another explosive chapter in their musical madness.
For 15 years, Christian Aregger (vocals, guitar, synthesizer) and Roland Bucher (drums, bass pedals, vocals) have been touring clubs, theatres and festivals across Europe as Blind Butcher, with over 600 shows behind them and a sound that defies categorisation: a radically danceable mix of rock, disco, punk, new wave, electronics and a hefty dose of trash.
Blind Butcher are more than music. They are performance, art personas and an energetic state of exception. Outlandish outfits and a presence that oscillates between a punk concert, a science-fiction revue and absurd theatricality.

WolfWolf
The spirited Swiss duo from Lucerne, known for their unbridled energy and unique blend of garage punk and trashy blues, are currently touring with their fourth album, "Totentanz".
For more than a decade, WolfWolf have captivated the underground music scene with their abstract tales and unmistakable sound.
In their live shows, they rock and rumble as they tell stories about life and death or people on the margins of society. Sometimes they also share imaginatively packaged anecdotes about eccentric contemporaries. It always comes with their characteristic comic touch. They explain their fictional world like this: "We have always seen WolfWolf as more than just a band, it is a universe of monsters and dark creatures that we have created over the years with our songs". WolfWolf take their listeners on a journey into this universe, into their very own "Wolfiversum".
