About the party
"Solaris" Tour / + Special Guest
The artist collective The Ocean has undergone a fundamental reformation. New vocalists Lane Shi and Enrico Tiberi, along with guitarists Emmanuel Jessua and Marco Gennaro, join founding member Robin Staps, bassist Mattias Hägerstrand and drummer Jordi Farré. Together, they open a new chapter with "Solaris". The twelfth studio album combines The Ocean's signature post-metal, progressive metal and sludge metal with dystopian science fiction and existential reflections. Inspired by diaries and records of real-life explorers, "Solaris" moves between fiction and reality, telling of extreme experiences, the unknown and the human search for knowledge. After the end of the previous lineup and their final concert together at Hellfest 2025, Robin Staps had already begun work on the new album. With musicians from six countries, THE OCEAN returns to its collective way of working and presents "Solaris" as an ambitious, intense new high point in the band's nearly 25-year history.
