ZOMBIE METAL AT Z7

Fascinating storytelling, brilliant songwriting and outstanding musicianship: with these ingredients, the Nuremberg band Dominum stormed the metal scene three years ago. In December 2026, Dr. Dead and his zombies will bring their unbridled power metal with a horror appeal to our stage as headliners for the first time. In their touring luggage, they have their new third album (release: July 2026).

Nuremberg power-metal high-fliers Dominum burst onto the scene with a bang in 2023: their debut album “Hey Living People” immediately reached the top 20 of the German album charts, while their horror-inspired lyrics, powerful compositions, punchy covers of songs by Dead or Alive, Billie Eilish and Midnight Oil, and theatrical performances won them a huge following. The mastermind behind the project is singer Felix Heldt, who has made a name for himself as a songwriter and producer for bands such as Feuerschwanz and Visions Of Atlantis. As Dominum frontman Dr. Dead, he takes listeners into the world of the undead, telling stories of zombies, the struggle for survival and an insatiable thirst for more. With their debut album, Dominum conquered European stages as support for scene giants such as Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, Feuerschwanz and Peyton Parrish, as well as through acclaimed festival shows in front of tens of thousands of fans. At the end of 2024 came their second strike. With “The Dead Don’t Die”, the zombie-metal outfit unleashed the undead once again and this time climbed into the top 10 of the charts. Alongside ten new tracks, Dominum served up a massive cover version of the Scorpions classic “Rock You Like A Hurricane”. With their two albums, Dominum have also regularly appeared in Pratteln in recent years. In December 2023, they presented themselves to the fans for the first time as support for Apokalyptischen Reiter. In December 2024, they returned to join us once again with Feuerschwanz. In December 2025, they made their next appearance as special guests of Battle Beast. By now, the power zombies have evolved from prized support act into a main act, and in December 2026 they will come to Pratteln as headliners for the first time with their third album, which will be unveiled in July at the sold-out Rockharz Festival.
