What would December at Z7 be without live/wire? Year after year, Europe’s best AC/DC tribute band brings an electrifying atmosphere to the close of the year – a tradition that will continue this winter. On 18 and 19 December, the five die-hard rockers return to Pratteln’s rock temple and unleash a spectacular fireworks display of hits by the Australian rock giants over two nights – accompanied by hell’s bells, bagpipes and the thunderous roar of cannons. True to the motto: Let There Be Rock!

For more than five decades, the name AC/DC has stood for uncompromising hard rock and legendary live shows. More than 200 million records sold and world tours in sold-out arenas speak for themselves. More than 20 years ago, the band live/wire emerged from the Basel region through the merger of the two cover bands Riff Raff and Jailbreak – and ever since, they have been arguably the most authentic AC/DC tribute Europe has to offer. With incredible enthusiasm and a show that is flawless down to the smallest detail, the five musicians send their audience into ecstasy night after night. With his voice, facial expressions and flat cap, singer Däny bears an astonishing resemblance to his role model Brian Johnson – you could almost believe the original was standing on stage. Guitarist Cello hits every note like Angus Young on his Gibson SG and tears across the stage in a school uniform as if he had never done anything else. Adi creates the typical, no-frills Malcolm groove with his Gretsch, while Ronny delivers the right punch on drums in the finest Phil Rudd style. The sound is rounded off by Beat, who lays down the foundation in the style of Cliff Williams with his four strings. Since their debut in autumn 2002, the band has continued to evolve, and their repertoire now includes more than 50 songs spanning four and a half decades of AC/DC history. The sound is true to the original, the show packed with energy – and together, live/wire take the spirit of AC/DC to a new level with every show.
