From posthumanist feminism to alt-pop: Lyhre pushes the boundaries between theatre and concert.

Dark, fearless and genre-crossing, Lyhre takes apart themes such as power and, in doing so, showcases a unique understanding of pop that quickly attracts international attention. With her debut alone, the multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter contributes music to the Netflix series „Elite“ and is subsequently recognised by Cannes Soundtrack for the cinematic quality of her work.

Classically trained, she composes and produces her own sound with influences from alternative, industrial and baroque, and in her lyrics too, against the backdrop of posthumanist and feminist theories, she deconstructs any normative understanding. Whether in her songs, upside down on stage or when she writes complete soundtracks for theatre productions: hard to categorise, yet unmistakable, she leaves an ever-growing mark on the music scene.

From raw theatricality to mosh pits, Lyhre’s concerts are above all one thing: intense. Surrounded by her instruments, she pounds the keys, with moments in between where you could hear a pin drop.

The upcoming EP „The D(e)ad Concept“ is a radical deconstruction of the concept of „patriarchy“ from antiquity to today’s technocapitalism.
