Since 2006, Ophelia’s Iron Vest have been the benchmark when it comes to country music in Lucerne. In their rhinestone suits, they celebrate everything that makes country great: big gestures, big stories, big beer glasses. On their fourth album, «Truck Stop Dining Love», they turn to a subgenre of country music that wonderfully allows for these big gestures: trucker songs! Eleven new songs awaken a longing for absolute independence along highways and past the best truck stops, only to scratch at the feeling of loneliness and being lost beneath this seemingly boundless freedom. Can gospel songs perhaps redeem this conflict? Ophelia’s Iron Vest are looking for an answer to this question and invite the audience to climb aboard and come along. And who knows, maybe you too will find your Truck Stop Dining Love! With Truck Stop Dining Love, Ophelia’s Iron Vest are also celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band. The new record and the big birthday will be celebrated in the best barn Lucerne has to offer: the Schüür concert hall!
