NEW ALBUM – OLD RAGE

NY hardcore legends Pro-Pain are tearing it up again. To mark the band’s 35th anniversary, guitarist Eric Klinger has returned. And with the album “Stone Cold Anger”, there is finally some new Pro-Pain music to enjoy. The band’s powerful new record shows that the group led by vocalist and bassist Gary Meskil has lost none of the raw force and unbridled fury of its early days.

Outdoing themselves with every new album is probably the greatest challenge a band can face. Especially when eleven years have passed since the last release and its predecessor made quite an impact. To achieve this ambitious goal, Pro-Pain brought back their former guitarist Eric Klinger. And the two advance singles from the new album “Stone Cold Anger” (release: 15 May 26) have already shown that Pro-Pain need not worry about their reputation as an exceptional force in New York’s hardcore scene. Since their groundbreaking debut album “Foul Taste Of Freedom”, which was nominated for several awards in the early nineties, the uncompromising outfit led by band founder Gary Meskil has earned the affection and respect of countless fans around the world and is rightly regarded today as a true hardcore-metal legend. All of their albums are hard to surpass in intensity, inspiration and honesty. And their latest offering is every bit the equal of its predecessors. After a lengthy break between releases, the hardcore heavyweights are making a thunderous return with album number 16. On their label debut with Napalm Records, the scene icons are at their most explosive: As its title suggests, “Stone Cold Anger” is furious and weighs a ton. Pro-Pain have lost none of their power. Exceptionally catchy, the new album backs gripping melodies with both incitingly angry and anthemic vocals, making the new songs worthy successors to the hit “Voice Of Rebellion” (2015), which has been streamed 3.5 million times. The long-awaited record opens with the blistering “Oceans Of Blood”, an energetic track that immediately confirms that Pro-Pain remain unstoppable even after three and a half decades. Gary Meskil and his musicians have remained idealists both musically and politically, never wavering from their uncompromising stance. Pro-Pain will bring these and many other qualities to our Z7 stage as part of the “35th Anniversary Tour 2026“.
