All good things come in threes: Following their acclaimed shows in autumn 2024 and December 2025, the world's only all-female Deep Purple tribute band Strange Kind of Women will return to Z7 in 2026. On 18 September, the five musicians will once again bring the magic of the British hard rock legends to our venue with authenticity and boundless enthusiasm.

Only a few tribute bands manage to truly come close to their idols in both show and sound. Strange Kind of Women deliver outstanding work that is highly praised by fans and critics alike. Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice got to experience the rock ladies' abilities at first hand. At a concert in Graz, he could not resist joining Strange Kind of Women on stage for a rock-out. Afterwards, he said: “It is really great fun to play with them. They do a fantastic job, have a great sound and give it their all on stage. I really enjoyed performing with them.” The band members are all professional musicians who have already enjoyed success with various other formations. Band leader and guitarist Eliana Cargnelutti is the great new hope of the Italian blues-rock scene. The frontwoman is Italo-Canadian singer Victoria Moro, aka Ronnie Grace. They are joined by Chiara Cotugno (drums), Margherita Gruden (Hammond, keys) and Paola Zadra (bass). When Deep Purple helped establish the hard rock scene in the 1970s with songs such as “Highway Star”, “Child In Time” and “Smoke On The Water”, the five musicians had not even been born. For several years now, however, they have been expressing their love for this music through passionate live performances, offering a captivating impression of the work of the iconic rock band founded in London in 1968.
