NEW ALBUM FROM THE SYMPHONIC METAL QUEEN

Finland’s most popular soprano voice, Tarja Turunen, returns to Z7 with brand-new material. After two acclaimed “Living The Dream” greatest-hits shows, looking back on her successful career, we are delighted to welcome the iconic metal singer back to our venue in October with her brand-new album.

For the past three years, Tarja Turunen has been on the road with her “Living The Dream” greatest-hits tours. Sometimes solo, sometimes together with her former Nightwish bandmate Marko Hietala. In between, she appeared as a guest at “Rock Meets Classics” and performed atmospheric Christmas concerts. But now the time is ripe for the singer’s next career chapter. After seven long years, Tarja will release a new studio album in spring 2026. The autumn will bring the major album release tour, taking the musician to Z7 on 9 October with her new material.

As a soprano, composer and songwriter, co-founder, voice and face of Nightwish, Tarja Turunen played a decisive role in shaping the symphonic metal genre for nine years. During this time, she received numerous gold and platinum awards and was crowned the queen of the genre. After leaving the band, Tarja embarked on a successful solo career, which has so far resulted in six metal albums as well as several classical works and live releases. Her exceptional abilities have also led Tarja to embark on fantastic collaborations. Among others, she has performed with shock-rock legend Alice Cooper, symphonic metal colleagues Within Temptation, German electronic artist Schiller, Metal Queen Doro Pesch and British “Father of Tubular Bells” Mike Oldfield. However, the unique combination of Tarja’s classical and rock influences continues to be showcased at its finest on her solo releases. We look forward to album number seven and another fantastic symphonic metal night at Z7.
